The Story

The Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon was the very first English-language Yu-Gi-Oh! booster set, released in 2002. Card number LOB-001 - Blue-Eyes White Dragon - was the set's Ultra Rare chase card. It was the card every kid wanted, the one you'd trade your entire collection for, the one that made you feel like Kaiba himself.

Kazuki Takahashi, Yu-Gi-Oh!'s creator, designed Blue-Eyes as the ultimate symbol of power in his manga and anime. With 3000 ATK, it was one of the strongest monsters in the original game. The card name and the set name are the same thing - the entire first set revolves around this dragon.

The 1st Edition print run features a gold "1st Edition" stamp. Later Unlimited printings removed the stamp and were produced in much larger quantities. Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from this era had notorious centering issues, making well-centered, high-grade copies scarce.
